Positive Behaviour Support is an approach that centres on improving skills to enhance effective communication, collaboration, support, and personal satisfaction in carers who are presented with unhealthy or challenging behaviour (e.g. depression, self-harm, aggression, uncooperative behaviour).
Skills include:
• Behaving in more positive ways that enhance goodness, joy, and satisfaction in families.
• Observing and understanding why people behave in challenging ways.
• Improving communication and collaboration.
• Setting goals that enhance quality of life and minimise restrictive or coercive practices.
• Practicing positive behaviour with feedback and acknowledgement.
• Maintaining positive behaviour and goodwill.
When: 5-week workshop|10th, 17th, 24th, 31st March and 14th April (Recap)
Time: | 2.00pm – 4.00pm
Attendance is desired at all workshops
