This presentation will provide a report regarding a large trial that was recently conducted in WA. The trial was led by Professor Anne-Marie Hill at UWA. The trial tested a nurse telephone call program. Professor AM Hill provided the program to carers when an older person they cared for was discharged after a hospital admission at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital. This report will discuss the results of the trial which in general shows the benefits of accessing support. The presentation will allow plenty of time for questions and discussion. Since the results are from WA carers findings will be of particular interest for carers in WA.
