Description

The purpose of the Committee is to ensure the organisation meets the components of the

Comprehensive Care operational plan, monitoring and performance schedules, and provide clinical

governance for delegated elements of the National Safety and Quality Health Service (NSQHS)

Comprehensive Care Standard, second edition actions, the National Standards for Mental Health

Services (NSMHS) and the Office of Chief Psychiatrist Standards specifically actions:

5.4 – 5.6          Designing systems to deliver Comprehensive Care

5.12-5.13         Developing the Comprehensive Care Plan

5.14                 Using the Comprehensive Care Plan

5.21-5.23         Preventing and Managing Pressure Injuries

5.24-5.26         Preventing Falls and Harm from Falls

5.27-5.28         Nutrition and Hydration

5.29-5.30         Preventing Delirium and Managing Cognitive Impairment and the endorsed National Delirium Clinical Care Standard

5.31-5.32         Predicting Preventing and Managing Self Harm and Suicide

5.33-5.34         Predicting Preventing and Managing Aggression and Violence  (Patient)

Carer experience required: We require a Carer with lived experience of care through Royal Perth Hospital or Bentley Health Service who is passionate about the importance of consumers and carers partnering with staff within a hospital network. The successful applicant must have a strong understanding of patient centered care, and the challenges faced by carers navigating their way through a hospital stay, particularly with patients who have complex comorbidities including mental health.

Location of Meetings

Royal Perth Hospital Executive Boardroom OR online via Microsoft Teams

Frequency

1 meeting every month for 1 hour and 15 minutes

Time and Duration of Meetings

4th Monday of the month between 10:15am and 11:30pm
