Carers WA conducted a survey to inform its response to the review of the Health and Disability Services (Complaints) Act 1995 (WA) and Part 6 of the Disability Services Act 1993 (WA). The survey revealed that many carers were unaware of the Health and Disability Services Complaints Office (HaDSCO) or felt unable to make complaints due to their caring responsibilities.
To address this, Carers WA is hosting an information session on complaint resolution services featuring presentations from Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and HaDSCO. Attendees will learn about each agency’s role, complaint pathways, and possible outcomes.
